Under the direction of the Director and the Chief Deputy of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety, the Deputy Director plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Office. Specifically, the Deputy Director manages the Safety Policy, Compliance, and Data Analytics Division and ensures the day-to-day operations and oversees the budget and spending, complying with and pushing down organizational and managerial best practices; responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing electrical infrastructure regulatory programs in the following areas: wildfire mitigation plans; safety culture assessments and governance; safety certifications; wildfire and climate adaptation policy; risk assessment; general electrical infrastructure safety policy; and utility inspections, audits, investigations, and enforcement.
