Description

The Cal OES Deputy Director of Recovery leads the State of California’s post-disaster recovery operations ensuring rapid and comprehensive support to California communities. The Deputy Director also oversees statewide resilience and mitigation programs that increase the state’s ability to withstand and lessen impacts of disasters on California communities. The Deputy Director coordinates with other state agencies related to disaster recovery and works closely with the federal government to effectuate assistance programs, as well as to manage joint federal/state recovery operations.

 

The Deputy Director oversees all Recovery Operations for Cal OES, consisting of multiple branches including Recovery Infrastructure and Closeout, Recovery Administration and Support, Hazard Mitigation, Interagency Recovery, and the CA Wildfire Mitigation Program.
