Description

The California Building Standards Commission (Commission) is specifically charged with the codification and publication of all building standards of state agencies into one code; resolving conflict, duplication, and overlap in building standards; ensuring consistency in nomenclature and format in the code; and hearing appeals resulting from the administration of state building standards.

 

The mission of the Commission is to produce sensible and usable state building standards and administrative regulations that implement or enforce those standards.
