The Deputy Director of Housing Policy Development serves as the Departments housing and community development policy lead including collaborating, consulting, and working with executives, managers, and staff representing federal, State, and local government agencies, national and local leaders, stakeholders and persons knowledgeable about housing and community development to further State housing policy.  The Deputy is responsible for directing staff to oversee certain aspects of State Housing Law including General Plan Housing Element review and recertification, Regional Housing Need Allocation determinations and planning and incentive grant programs.
