Under administrative direction of the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development, the Chief Deputy Director acts as the Director’s principal executive strategy and policy leader.   This role is responsible for formulating, administering, and implementing the Department’s programs and program policies.

The Chief Deputy Director oversees all departmental program operations, directs members of the Executive staff in strategic policy and program planning, is responsible for key personnel staffing decisions, advises the Director on state legislation and legislative proposals, represents the Director on sensitive housing matters and forums, including legislative committee hearings, and administrative control entities on program policy matters.
