Under the direction of the Chief Deputy Director, the incumbent is responsible for managing the Office of Communications and serves as a member of DTSC’s executive staff. The incumbent oversees, provides advice and consultation on, and evaluates the effectiveness of external and internal communications for the Department. The incumbent is responsible for executing communication strategies that advance the Department's mission to protect California's people, communities, and environment from toxic substances.
