The California Library Services Board implements the California Library Services Act and aims to ensure that all Californians have free and convenient access to all library resources and services for the enrichment of their lives and for lifelong learning, regardless of their age or ethnicity, or any geographical, financial or administrative constraints.  To help achieve this goal, the Library Services Board authorizes the allocation of funds to assist local libraries implement programs.
