Under the administrative direction of the Chair of the California Energy Commission, the Deputy Director of Communications and External Affairs will oversee Energy Commission-wide communications, outreach, and public engagement strategy. The incumbent is responsible for educating Californians about advances towards the state’s clean energy goals. The incumbent also manages and directs the following units: Media Relations, Brand Strategy, Special Events, and Integrated Energy Policy Report.
