Under general direction from the Executive Director and Senior Deputy Director of the State Board of Education, the Senior Policy Director will lead the development and implementation of programs at the State Board of Education. This includes the development and analysis of complex state and federal strategies and policies around accountability, school conditions and climate, parent and family engagement, and budget issues relating to K-12 education in California. The Senior Deputy Director also represents the interests of the State Board of Education and the Governor’s Office in the development of major education policies and programs.
