The California Cradle-to-Career Data System is a statewide longitudinal data system that provides tools to help students reach their goals and deliver information on education and workforce outcomes. The Data System has over 200 data points that range from early education experiences to higher education and workforce training experience. The Governing Board is a 21-member board that is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the data system. They help ensure the data system is serving the intended purpose of helping communities navigate the education to employment pipeline. The Governing Board also establishes the governance structure for the data system and establishes two advisory boards to get technical feedback and to hear from the community.
