The Commission on Judicial Performance protects the public through the enforcement of rigorous standards of judicial conduct and maintains public confidence in the integrity of the judicial system. The Commission investigates allegations against judges and holds formal proceedings when there is a cause to believe there is a disability or misconduct and, if warranted, imposing discipline. Judicial misconduct usually involves conduct in conflict with the standards set forth in the Code of Judicial Ethics.
